Blockchain technology is new and exciting, but there seems to be very little recognition of the magnitude of change it will bring. Blockchain offers a brand new platform for organizing not only money - but the world. The Technology Industry is focused on bringing the best experiences to our users, with UX designers at the forefront, so it is important that we understand how this technology will impact our work and society. I discuss the very basics of how Blockchain technology works, then move quickly to discuss several potential applications, and finally the role designers will play to make these applications acceptable and understandable to our users.
